I have spent my career showing up—when people need help, when rural communities need an advocate and when practical problems need solutions.
The record behind the word proven
Public service is not something I discovered when a seat opened. It has shaped who I am for more than two decades.
My work as a paramedic taught me to stay calm, listen carefully and act with purpose. Six years leading the Alberta Paramedic Association showed me how determined advocacy can bring rural priorities to the provincial table.
Today, I bring that same approach to business and municipal government: understand the problem, build the right partnership and keep working until the community sees a result.
Why I am running
My wife Reagan and I are raising our family in Stettler. Our children are the sixth generation of our family to call this community home—a legacy rooted in family, service and opportunity here.
I want Drumheller–Stettler to be a place where every generation can find a home: where young people can build a life, families can put down roots, local schools can remain strong and seniors can stay close to the people and communities they know.
That is the future I believe is worth building.
Experience beyond politics
Public office is one chapter in my life of service—not where that service began.
Since beginning my paramedic career in 2003, I have served patients on the ground and in the air, taught and mentored future paramedics, led provincial advocacy, helped advance rural health-care reform, built businesses, raised cattle and horses, raised a family, and served through our church and community organizations.
Those experiences taught me how decisions made at the top affect people on the ground—and that lasting results come from listening, bringing people together and doing the work.
As a member of Alberta's EMS Provincial Advisory Committee and co-chair of its air- and ground-ambulance subcommittee, I helped bring forward more than 50 recommendations presented in the committee's final report—including measures already approved and moving into implementation.
I brought forward and advocated for Collaborative Emergent Care to help keep small rural emergency departments open and support physician recruitment. Then I worked the shifts and generated the reports needed to show what was happening on the ground.
